Schumacher---My hero

No one is born a winner...

Very few end up being one,

you may become one overnite

there may be many building factors for success,

but none among them can be more crucial than PASSION....

PASSION in what you do,how you do is all that matters...

n Michael Schumacher, seven time grand prix champion has loads of it....yes Passion for racing..

Its not you are number one or number two but the love for things you do...

the way he gave a stiff fight to his rivals is best example..he didnt fade away or exited thru a side door as it happened with stars who shined for while..

he has put his blood and soul in every race he took part in..thats only possible when you have that fire within you...fire to achieve and excel in what you think you r born for..

that is not even built...but you find it in your natural way of living...you will definitely confront something which seems to be the life...the soul cause...n thats how passion develops....

n thats what has happened with this 37 yr old star some 15 years ago which made a F1 racer out of automobile mechanic...n if you have that luv for things you do,u will respect everyone around you involved in those things..no matter how big a winner u r ,u remain to b down to earth n u feel its not just you but every support person around thats responsible for what you currently are..

KUDOS to you Schumi...u r my superstar

TECHredible India

The forward i got from one of my frenz inspired me to make this post..It showed India emerging as Land of marvelous constructions.Well, if you think India's architectural wonders ended with Tajmahal or Charminar, you are definitely wrong.

Thanx to the so called IT money, the builders in India are leaving no stone unturned in making spectacular constructions...the Iflex buildings (next to TI office)in Bagmane techpark,Bangalore are epitomes of space optimized landmarks..

The Infosys tech park in Mysore, the Mall of India by DLF in Gurgaon,The TCS office in Chennai,The freely suspending sea link between worli n juhu in mumbai and the flamboyant Malya's twin towers in Bangalore are more than a proof that the civil engineering in India has been on a major revamp when no one noticed...the beauty of these constuctions is that they have their own Indianity in them...

The facilities available today in the Corporate offices in India are surely worldclass..The care that has been taken right from firesafety toelectronic surveillance is absolutely mindblowing..

Bhargav--Now a design engineer

Hi folks

Its been a long time that i posted..the only resaon...any guesses??

well the sole n the only reason is LAZINESS...

i have been procastinating blogging for some time now.well but the recent hues n crys against the blogging community because allegedly the recent mumbai bomb blast were abetted thru some communication via blogs..

The secret agencies(govt) say that unlike mails n messenger systems in which every conversation can b tracked, blogs remain untrackable n thus make a safe way to communicate for the terrorists..

well before any stringent actions are taken and blogging becomes a neanderthal activity..its high time we as bloggers should take care that our blogs by any means dont become a mode of communication for those maniacal abettors..

Well now that i am no more a student and am working ..i feel myself more responsible and would like to convey that security is something which is everyone's concern..

It's been a month since i made the last post. Last month was hectic as much as it was happening. They were my last days in college. By may5th we were kinda free birds as our final exams got finished...then started the season of farewell...fueled by emotions n nostalgia abt the place where we made friends of our lifetimes..suddenly i realised thou four years passed by very quickly it is a long duration of time, enuf to change one's career, interests and the very self...yes the metamorphosis is more rampant if u r a boarding student.

Living a hostel life teaches many precious principles of life which dont find place in any book. They need to be experienced to be understood...those rules of the game are written by oneself according to the other team players and the goal (the very aim/ambition).

My engineering life influenced me a lot and i am greatful that place BIT,Mesra where a new individual started his saga in me..

16th consecutive succesful chase

It is delightful to see the Indian cricket team batting thesedays, especially its depth. The credit goes to talented pool of young cricketers like Dhoni,Yuvraj,Raina,Pawar and one more chip in the block Uthappa.
These youngsters are completely different from their seniors, they are aggressive as well as sensible. The best part is they are thinking cricketers with exceptional ability to bat under any kind of situation. The way Dhoni batted in the last match at Jamshedpur is clear example of it.If we observe, these days the first 3 or 4 wickets fall quickly and it is the 4th n 5th down batsmen who are providing a backbone partnership.

Now in the form of Robin Uthappa, an adept opener is available to the team India. He batted excellently in his debut match and will definitely threaten the positions of Sehwag and Sachin as openers if they continue their poor form.Sreesanth came back well too with 6 wicket haul. But still India's bowling attack cannot be called dangerous because it lacks pacers who can consistently take wickets.
Lets hope any such gaps are filled quickly by the time the 2007 world cup begins.

Unscrupulous reservation policy!!

It can't get worse!!

The Arjun Mandal raised the current reservation in central and govt. funded institutes to
49.5 percent. The worst part is that it applies to the premier institutes like IITs and IIMs aswell.
And all this came at a moment when everyone is thinking that our economy is booming and our country shining. The politicians should answer themselves if this is really going to benefit people who live in remote areas??It is always those who doesnt really need any resrvation as such get benifitted by these. And also with reference to my post, regarding deficit in talented technical pool,it only makes the problem much worse.
Few excerpts:

1.The present quota for the scheduled tribes and scheduled castes in IITs doesnt get filled every year and that is the reason they are offered preparatory course.

2.The first rank in SC/ST category in year 2002(the year i wrote JEE) was equivalent to 2005 in general category.

3.It happened in Andhra Pradesh that students who got negative marks in engg entrance exam(EAMCET) also happened to get good seats in engg colleges and that disgrace ultimately led to the removal of negative marks.
The same case happened in AIEEE as well when students who got (-7) and (-6) marks happened to get ECE seats.

4.These kind of reservations only led to great deficit in Indian economy in 1991 and the then Manmohan singh(I dunno why he is still sleeping now) govt had to take strict actions..when our country was literally living by selling its gold reserves.

5.Such kind of reservations will result in hatred and will increase the disparities between forward and backward cast people in the working place as well as in colleges.Students obviously feel they are denied better chances and there would always exist a mismatch between the technical prowessws they got in them.

these are just few and more will be added very soon...

but still
I love my India

And they are elected by us,THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, by the largest democratic process in the world, not intruded into the parliament on their own or by any qualification. This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and price hike on our regular commodities.......

But still these people are not contended with themselves. They still want more money, more positions. They are reluctant to leave other offices of profit they hold.
First of all, they should comit themselves to people, carry out the responsibilities they bear on their shoulders, fulfil the hopes the junta that elected them kept on them.

THey themselves shud quit before they face the humiliation irrespective of how reputed families, they come from.

A matter of concern

Software companies start recruiting commerce graduates!!

Well, the recent version of the BW (27thfeb) says that there is a trend of large hike in salaries goin on in software industry. It is definitely a welcome news for all of us into the industry, but it is shocking to know the reason behind it.The article says that there is a serious deficit in skilled professionals and hence an increasing demand for the exisitng ones.
This definitely is going to have a long term negative effect.
So i would welcome comments and suggestions from all of u to face this problem and want to come out with solutions.

What is the right time to start a new company?

hello frenz
well i was in this dilemma at some point of time..and today few of my juniors are in...
every1 of us at some stage must have thought of starting a new firm. Now the problem is when u r in a professional course. Is it advisable to start it as soon as u pass out or go ahead for ur post graduate studies so that it will help u carry out additional research that is required on the ventures u wud set out with??
The 2nd debatable issue is "Is MBA or MS gud for leading a technical company?"
What i feel is, we dont need an MBA degree, but rather a grip on the subject +sum experience

What do u guyz say?shud i advise my juniors to start working on setting up their dream company or shud i advise them to continue their studies??
and yet again..ur opnion matters...

Which path to choose???

Last week i watched the movie Rang De Basanti.
I loved the way the movie was presented. The transformation of the youngsters with carefree attitude to the martyrs was shown brilliantly.
But however the path chosen is a debatable issue!!(Killing of the defence minister and patricide by karan(Siddarth) )
How many of us would really support such an agitation?

in the words of Mr.President..

As a young citizen of India, armed with technology,
knowledge and love for my nation, I realize, small aim is a crime.
I will work and sweat for a great vision,
the vision of transforming India into a developed nation,
powered by economic strength with value systemI am one of the citizens of the billion;
Only the vision will ignite the billion souls.It has entered into me ;
The ignited soul compared to any resource is the most powerful resource on the earth, above the earth and under the earth.
I will keep the lamp of knowledge burning to achieve the vision - Developed IndiaIf we work and sweat for the great vision with ignited minds, the transformation leading to the birth of vibrant developed India will happen.
I pray the Almighty: "May the divine peace with beauty enter into our people; Happiness and good health blossom in our bodies, minds and souls".
