16th consecutive succesful chase

It is delightful to see the Indian cricket team batting thesedays, especially its depth. The credit goes to talented pool of young cricketers like Dhoni,Yuvraj,Raina,Pawar and one more chip in the block Uthappa.
These youngsters are completely different from their seniors, they are aggressive as well as sensible. The best part is they are thinking cricketers with exceptional ability to bat under any kind of situation. The way Dhoni batted in the last match at Jamshedpur is clear example of it.If we observe, these days the first 3 or 4 wickets fall quickly and it is the 4th n 5th down batsmen who are providing a backbone partnership.

Now in the form of Robin Uthappa, an adept opener is available to the team India. He batted excellently in his debut match and will definitely threaten the positions of Sehwag and Sachin as openers if they continue their poor form.Sreesanth came back well too with 6 wicket haul. But still India's bowling attack cannot be called dangerous because it lacks pacers who can consistently take wickets.
Lets hope any such gaps are filled quickly by the time the 2007 world cup begins.

Unscrupulous reservation policy!!

It can't get worse!!

The Arjun Mandal raised the current reservation in central and govt. funded institutes to
49.5 percent. The worst part is that it applies to the premier institutes like IITs and IIMs aswell.
And all this came at a moment when everyone is thinking that our economy is booming and our country shining. The politicians should answer themselves if this is really going to benefit people who live in remote areas??It is always those who doesnt really need any resrvation as such get benifitted by these. And also with reference to my post, regarding deficit in talented technical pool,it only makes the problem much worse.
Few excerpts:

1.The present quota for the scheduled tribes and scheduled castes in IITs doesnt get filled every year and that is the reason they are offered preparatory course.

2.The first rank in SC/ST category in year 2002(the year i wrote JEE) was equivalent to 2005 in general category.

3.It happened in Andhra Pradesh that students who got negative marks in engg entrance exam(EAMCET) also happened to get good seats in engg colleges and that disgrace ultimately led to the removal of negative marks.
The same case happened in AIEEE as well when students who got (-7) and (-6) marks happened to get ECE seats.

4.These kind of reservations only led to great deficit in Indian economy in 1991 and the then Manmohan singh(I dunno why he is still sleeping now) govt had to take strict actions..when our country was literally living by selling its gold reserves.

5.Such kind of reservations will result in hatred and will increase the disparities between forward and backward cast people in the working place as well as in colleges.Students obviously feel they are denied better chances and there would always exist a mismatch between the technical prowessws they got in them.

these are just few and more will be added very soon...

but still
I love my India

And they are elected by us,THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, by the largest democratic process in the world, not intruded into the parliament on their own or by any qualification. This is how all our tax money is been swallowed and price hike on our regular commodities.......

But still these people are not contended with themselves. They still want more money, more positions. They are reluctant to leave other offices of profit they hold.
First of all, they should comit themselves to people, carry out the responsibilities they bear on their shoulders, fulfil the hopes the junta that elected them kept on them.

THey themselves shud quit before they face the humiliation irrespective of how reputed families, they come from.

A matter of concern

Software companies start recruiting commerce graduates!!

Well, the recent version of the BW (27thfeb) says that there is a trend of large hike in salaries goin on in software industry. It is definitely a welcome news for all of us into the industry, but it is shocking to know the reason behind it.The article says that there is a serious deficit in skilled professionals and hence an increasing demand for the exisitng ones.
This definitely is going to have a long term negative effect.
So i would welcome comments and suggestions from all of u to face this problem and want to come out with solutions.

What is the right time to start a new company?

hello frenz
well i was in this dilemma at some point of time..and today few of my juniors are in...
every1 of us at some stage must have thought of starting a new firm. Now the problem is when u r in a professional course. Is it advisable to start it as soon as u pass out or go ahead for ur post graduate studies so that it will help u carry out additional research that is required on the ventures u wud set out with??
The 2nd debatable issue is "Is MBA or MS gud for leading a technical company?"
What i feel is, we dont need an MBA degree, but rather a grip on the subject +sum experience

What do u guyz say?shud i advise my juniors to start working on setting up their dream company or shud i advise them to continue their studies??
and yet again..ur opnion matters...

Which path to choose???

Last week i watched the movie Rang De Basanti.
I loved the way the movie was presented. The transformation of the youngsters with carefree attitude to the martyrs was shown brilliantly.
But however the path chosen is a debatable issue!!(Killing of the defence minister and patricide by karan(Siddarth) )
How many of us would really support such an agitation?

in the words of Mr.President..

As a young citizen of India, armed with technology,
knowledge and love for my nation, I realize, small aim is a crime.
I will work and sweat for a great vision,
the vision of transforming India into a developed nation,
powered by economic strength with value systemI am one of the citizens of the billion;
Only the vision will ignite the billion souls.It has entered into me ;
The ignited soul compared to any resource is the most powerful resource on the earth, above the earth and under the earth.
I will keep the lamp of knowledge burning to achieve the vision - Developed IndiaIf we work and sweat for the great vision with ignited minds, the transformation leading to the birth of vibrant developed India will happen.
I pray the Almighty: "May the divine peace with beauty enter into our people; Happiness and good health blossom in our bodies, minds and souls".
